Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved a cabinet reshuffle, relieving the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Olanike Adeyemo, of her duties with immediate effect.
The development was announced in a statement issued on Monday in Ibadan by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
New SSG Appointed
Following the change, Governor Makinde appointed Prof. Musibau Babatunde as the new Secretary to the State Government. The appointment takes immediate effect.
Commissioners and Special Advisers Reassigned
As part of the reshuffle, Temilolu Ashamu was redeployed from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
The governor also named his Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, Ademola Aderinto, as a commissioner-designate. Aderinto is expected to be forwarded to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
Fresh Appointments Announced
In addition, Governor Makinde approved new strategic appointments:
- Abiodun Adedoja – Special Adviser on Energy Security
- Kolawole Elijah Akanmu – Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning
