Osimhen Confident in Galatasaray’s European Ambitions

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has expressed strong confidence that Galatasaray are ready to make a bold statement in this season’s UEFA Champions League.

The Turkish giants, popularly known as The Yellow and Reds, returned to Europe’s elite competition after a one-year absence and are determined to re-establish themselves among the continent’s best.

Galatasaray’s Champions League Journey So Far

Galatasaray endured a tough start to their campaign, suffering a 4–1 defeat to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on matchday one — a game Osimhen missed through injury.

However, Okan Buruk’s side have since bounced back impressively, claiming back-to-back victories over Liverpool and Bodo/Glimt.

Osimhen was instrumental in both wins, netting three goals in two matches, showcasing his clinical finishing and leadership in attack.

Osimhen’s Determination to Inspire Galatasaray

Speaking to UEFA.com, the Super Eagles forward revealed the team’s collective ambition and desire to be recognized on the European stage.

“I spoke with the president when I arrived here, and we want to really make a statement in the Champions League,” Osimhen said.

“We want to show that in Turkey, we are the team the whole world will know this year because we actually did something amazing in Europe.”

Osimhen’s passion and confidence have further boosted Galatasaray’s morale as they aim to continue their impressive run in Europe’s top competition.
