– “Business is never personal. Asake is my brother for life,” he says

Nigerian rap icon Olamide has finally responded to ongoing rumours suggesting he fell out with former YBNL signee Asake, assuring fans that their relationship remains solid.

The speculation intensified after Asake unfollowed members of the YBNL team and wiped his Instagram page in 2024, leading many fans to assume the singer had cut ties with the label.

Olamide Clears the Air

Speaking in a new interview with BBC Africa, Olamide dismissed all claims of conflict, insisting there is no tension between them.

He said:

“We are still family. That’s my brother for life. It’s always the same thing with me and every other people — business is never personal, and after business, life goes on.”

The rapper noted that disagreements in business are normal, but they never affect personal relationships.

Fans Praise Olamide’s Loyalty

Following the interview, fans took to social media to commend Olamide’s maturity and consistent loyalty to the artists he works with.

One user wrote: “Baddo no dey do too much. Loyalty too strong.”

Another commented: “This is why people respect Olamide. He handles everything with wisdom.”

Background

Rumours about a fallout between both stars gained momentum last year, after Asake’s online actions triggered widespread debate. Despite the buzz, neither party publicly addressed the situation until now.

Olamide’s latest statement once again reinforces his reputation for prioritizing loyalty over industry drama, reminding fans that while business relationships may evolve, genuine brotherhood stands the test of time.
