Nigeria crushes Mozambique as the eagles annihilates the Mambas of Mozambique at the Fez stadium.
Nigeria was the better team for the duration of the encounter and their dominance was rewarded when the Super Eagles of Nigeria drew the first blood in the 20th minute when Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman fired past the Mozambique keeper before Victor Osimhen doubled the lead in the 25th minute.
Nigeria kept putting pressure on the Mozambicans resulting to the third goal which came in the 47th minute as Osimhen doubled his tally.
Akor Adams after having two assists in the game already scored the fourth goal for Nigeria, his first in the tournament after getting at the back of a laid down pass from Lookman.
Mozambique tried to put passes together in the dying moments of the game but the eagles’ midfield Marshaled by Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka which was too strong nullified any sniff of threat.
One positive to take from the game however is that Nigeria who has shown that they’re susceptible to conceding goals ensured nothing trickled pass them, rendering Stanley Nwabali a mere passenger in the game
