Popular Nigerian online streamer Habeeb Hamzat, professionally known as Peller, narrowly escaped disaster after a fire broke out in his multimillion-naira mansion.
In a post on his Instagram page in the early hours of February 21, 2026, Peller revealed that his generator suddenly caught fire, causing panic among residents.
“This happen early this morning, my new generator almost burn down my new house, but God saved us, it take us over 30 minutes to off the fire, All I can say is God saved us🙏🏽😞😭,” he wrote.
Chaos at the Scene
According to Peller, the blaze lasted over 30 minutes before being fully extinguished. Video footage from the incident shows occupants scrambling to control the fire, with visible tension as flames threatened parts of the building.
The incident comes just days after Peller shared an emotional video reflecting on his accomplishments, expressing disbelief at owning a mansion at just 21 years old.
When asked about using the generator again, Peller confirmed he would no longer rely on it, stating that he plans to switch fully to solar power to prevent future risks.
The near-miss serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of electrical appliances and the importance of safety measures in high-value homes.
