The already chaotic online feud between controversial activist VeryDarkMan and influencer King Mitchy has taken another dramatic turn, after VDM appeared online claiming to have “resurrected” from death.
This comes days after his management stunned social media with a statement announcing his alleged death on Instagram — a claim that immediately sparked shock, confusion, and widespread debate.
VDM’s supposed demise followed a similar controversy involving King Mitchy, whose management had earlier announced that she had died after drinking a harmful substance during a livestream — a claim later debunked by a hospital disclaimer and eyewitness accounts.
In a new viral video, VeryDarkMan appeared alive, jokingly “resurrecting” from death and mocking the entire saga. In the clip, he reenacted and parodied King Mitchy’s earlier livestream stunt, which many Nigerians had found disturbing and dangerous.
The video has since triggered mixed reactions online, with some netizens calling it dark humour, while others condemned it as insensitive and reckless.
How the Feud Started
The feud between the duo began after King Mitchy shared videos of a school renovation project in Delta State and publicly challenged VeryDarkMan to match her humanitarian efforts.
VDM fired back, accusing her of clout-chasing and alleging that she was being used as a political tool to polish the image of Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
What followed was a messy exchange of allegations, leaked claims, online bullying, and intense fan wars that spiralled far beyond the original charity argument.
The drama escalated when King Mitchy’s management announced her death — only for it to be publicly denied shortly after. VeryDarkMan then responded by staging a mock burial for himself, complete with a casket, before later resurfacing alive.
Adding fuel to the fire, a man identified as King Mitchy’s former cameraman recently released a video alleging that some of her humanitarian activities were staged for social media — claims that remain unverified.
Amid the controversy, Seyi Tinubu distanced himself from the drama, denying any personal or inappropriate relationship with King Mitchy. He clarified that his involvement was limited strictly to financial support for her NGO and condemned the spread of false narratives.
While many online users continue to treat the saga as entertainment, others have expressed serious concern over the repeated use of fake death announcements and dangerous stunts, warning about the mental health implications and influence on young audiences.
As of now, both VeryDarkMan and King Mitchy remain active online, with the controversy still unfolding and public reactions sharply divided.
