
Tears have engulfed fans and admirers of Nigerian gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu following reports of his passing in the early hours of the morning.
According to posts circulating on Facebook, Taiwo, who is a twin, reportedly died overnight, leaving friends, family, and fans in shock and grief. A dedicated fan page for the singer shared the heartbreaking news, with followers expressing their sorrow.
One fan wrote:
“TAIWO, why will you leave me and your kids without notification? My heart is bleeding, Lord, how do you want me to cope without him? God why? This is too much for me to bear!!!”
Social media has since been flooded with tributes, prayers, and expressions of grief from admirers across Nigeria.

A Year Marked by Losses in Gospel and Entertainment
Taiwo’s passing comes amidst a string of untimely deaths in the Nigerian gospel and entertainment community. In January, gospel singer and evangelist Bunmi Akinaanu passed away after a prolonged illness, despite medical efforts to revive her.
Earlier, popular singer Aduke Gold was also pronounced dead, prompting family complaints against University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, alleging delayed treatment.
