American singer D4vd has been arrested by Los Angeles police in connection with the death investigation of 14 year old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
According to reports, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department took the 21 year old into custody on Thursday, April 16, at a residence in the Hollywood Hills area.
Authorities said the arrest was carried out by detectives attached to the Robbery Homicide Division after investigators secured a probable cause warrant.
Police confirmed that the suspect is being held without bail pending further legal proceedings.
In an official statement, law enforcement authorities identified the suspect as David Burke, adding that the case will be submitted to prosecutors for review before any formal charges are announced.
Investigators said the matter has been under review for several months, with a grand jury investigation reportedly beginning earlier this year.
The case relates to the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose remains were discovered in September 2025 inside a vehicle linked to the suspect, according to authorities.
The teenager had earlier been reported missing by family members in April 2025.
Following the arrest, lawyers representing the singer denied wrongdoing and said their client is innocent. They stated that no indictment has been issued and no formal complaint has yet been filed.
They also said they intend to strongly defend him as the legal process continues.
The case has generated significant public attention in the United States, with many awaiting the decision of prosecutors on whether charges will be officially filed.
